What is the difference between a toroidal transformer and a linear transformer?

➡️ The main difference lies in dimensions and weight. A toroidal model will have more advantageous dimensions, for example if you wish to install it in an electrical cabinet.

What is the difference between an installation with halogen lamps and LED lamps? Do pool transformers work the same way in both cases?

Pool transformers deliver AC current. In traditional lighting, LEDs operate on direct current. When LED technology appeared on the market, pool lighting installations operated on halogens, i.e., AC (alternating).

LED manufacturers have adapted their products so that LED pool lights work on alternating current! So whether you have halogen or LED lighting, it makes no difference. Attention, this rule is only applicable in the field of swimming pool lighting!
