Good to know

Mounting a toroidal transformer with a washer kit

A toroidal transformer is mounted through its centre: a bolt passes through the centre hole and clamps the transformer between two washers. Our toroidal transformer mounting kit contains two rubber washers and one stainless-steel dish, fitted in this order from the bottom: rubber washer, transformer, rubber washer, stainless dish. Then simply tighten with a bolt and nut of sufficient length. Three diameters are available, 6, 9 and 12 cm: choose the one closest to your transformer’s diameter. The kit replaces or supplements the one supplied with a toroid.

Mounting a toroid on a DIN rail

To fit a toroidal transformer in an electrical cabinet, use the stainless-steel DIN rail mounting plate (100 x 96 x 70 mm): it clips onto a DIN / top-hat rail and takes a toroid up to 600 VA. It comes without washers: use the ones supplied with the transformer or a washer kit. Other accessories, such as the bridge rectifier for pool toroidal transformers, are in our toroidal transformer accessories category.
