Single-phase Autotransformers (abbreviated as “autotransfo”), intended for switching from EU to US voltage or any other use. Reversible, usable in both directions.

Compared to a dual-winding transformer of the same power, the autotransformer has the following advantages due to the saving of one winding; it is:

- cheaper
- more efficient, its performance is higher.
– DISADVANTAGES:
However, alongside these advantages, the autotransformer also has significant drawbacks:
- the short-circuit current of an autotransformer is significantly higher than that of a classic transformer
